Senior UX/UI Designer

We pride ourselves on creating amazing products for our clients through collaboration, transparency, and strong relationships. This is where you come in.

About the position

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will concentrate on both user experience and user interface design. You will play a key role in designing polished, high-quality interfaces while applying practical UX techniques to ensure the creation of user-friendly and intuitive systems. We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, manage their workload effectively, and confidently navigate projects with evolving or uncertain requirements.

You have the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of clients, both large and small. You will work closely with them to design solutions that address both user and customer needs.

Our UX team maintains a user-focused mindset and champions user needs throughout every stage of a product's lifecycle. While you excel in the early discovery and definition stages, your strengths truly shine during the Build > Test > Learn phase, where we can develop functional solutions and iterate effectively. You are adaptable and pragmatic, always keen to identify a better way to approach tasks or respond to changes and new requirements. We partner closely with our clients, so being able to establish strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with a variety of people will greatly contribute to your success in this role.

All our UX team are LUMA-certified professionals - and you’ll get the chance to join them!

This is a fully remote role - we do not have an office. Success in this role hinges on your strong communication skills and proactive approach to getting work done in a distributed team setting.

What you will be doing day to day

Work as a UX/UI Designer in a multidisciplinary team or independently on discreet design work for our clients to:

  • Facilitate human-centred design activities with stakeholders and users to understand user needs, business goals and priorities.
  • Ideate and explore a range of possible design solutions using collaborative and co-creation techniques.
  • Create screen flows and define interaction rules to communicate navigation systems, product functionality and user journeys.
  • Create polished visual designs with supporting component libraries for existing and new products.
  • Build low and high-fidelity prototypes and test them with users to get feedback and measure usability.
  • Use active listening skills while facilitating; think on your feet and respond quickly to keep the focus on outcomes.
  • Present design work and articulate design decisions early and often to stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Advocate for a quality and consistent end-to-end user experience.
  • Collaborate with developers and foster a partnership to get to the best solutions.
  • Be pragmatic and constructively work within the commercial constraints of any project or activity.

Essential qualities we’ll be looking for in your application include:

  1. 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI, with strong skills in HCD, interaction design and information architecture—alongside solid UI expertise in visual design, design systems, and prototyping.
  2. Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build relationships and establish rapport with a range of different stakeholders.
  3. Experienced in a remote environment, skilled at managing workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  4. An excellent communicator who is comfortable collaborating with clients, teammates, and developers to discuss UX designs and solutions.
  5. A portfolio that reflects a strong design aesthetic and problem-solving skills.
